Introduction
The popular saying that “no nation can develop above the level of its education” has become a reoccurring statement in many nation’s school curriculum. But the way and manner in which teachers’ implement the school curriculum in their classrooms to ensure proper synergy among different developmental elements such as social, technological, political and economic factors have been a major challenge. This conference theme was conceived in order to raise researches that will show how economic literacy can build networks among social, environmental, political and technological systems to ensure sustainable development. We are therefore interested in understanding why and how Economics literacy can be explored towards the achievement of sustainable development especially in developing countries and also how the 21st century teaching/learning strategies can be devised to enrich the learners for sustainable development.
