Abstract
This paper examined the global individualized learning strategies adopted by students in their effort to key into the global education. The main purpose of the study was to determine the level of awareness and utilization of the strategies among the university students. Three research questions and one null hypothesis guided the study. The study adopted a descriptive survey research design, using 200 postgraduate students of 2016/2017 session from the Faculty of Education, University of Nigeria, Nsukka. A questionnaire was used for data collection. Percentage, mean analysis and t-test were used for answering the research questions and testing the null hypothesis at 0.05 level of significance respectively. Findings of the study revealed, based on the selected learning strategies, that a high percentage of the postgraduate students were moderately aware of e-portfolio, cultural immersion, cartoon, SAS curriculum pathways and EDpuzzle as global individualized learning strategies; while the level of their utilization was low. The test of hypothesis revealed that there was no significant differences in the mean rating of the responses of male and female on the level of utilization of individualized learning strategies in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. The recommendation of the study include that the university system should step up in a bid to encourage and equip teachers and students technologically to key into global education by organizing ICT application training in education for staff and students to utilize the available innovative strategies which will make the students globally relevant and competitive through intensive active individualized learning using the aforementioned learning strategies.
